America’s 250th Anniversary | Music, Family Events & Fireworks
Hendersonville Freedom Festival 2026 returns to Drakes Creek Park on Friday, July 3, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM. For anyone looking for Hendersonville, TN events, Sumner County fireworks, or family-friendly things to do near Nashville for the Fourth of July weekend, this is one of the main summer events in town.
The festival opens at 5:00 PM with food trucks, local vendors, and the evening getting started around the park. The Kids Zone runs from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, which gives families time to get there early before the music and fireworks take over the rest of the night.
Live music begins at 5:30 PM with Uncle Shuffelo & His Haint Hollow Hootenanny, an old-time Tennessee string band from Rover. Rockland Road headlines at 7:10 PM with a Nashville-rooted family band sound that moves through country, pop, gospel, and Americana. Fireworks are scheduled for 9:00 PM, weather permitting.
Freedom Festival is a blast (pun intended), and Drakes Creek Park is a perfect place to host it. Parking fills fast, so plan accordingly.
